TANKMEN Although (loach Harrison developed a well rounded swimming combination for the season, the Garnet ami White Natators, who displayed potential power, were unable to defeate their rivals. They entered into competition early in January 1947, ami went through a gruelling schedule by competing against such schools as Plainfield, Lincoln, Dickinson, Newark Academy, and Seton Hall. 'fhe letters winners for 1947 were: Furce, the highest scorer, who swam in the 200 yard free style contest. Gerald Slootsky, who won second place in the 50 and 100 yd. contests. Neil Dillon, a third ranking breast stroke swimmer, ami Stanley Susskind, who was an able assistant for Furce in the back-stroke contest. Non-record members: J. Crimaldi, A. Barscli, J. Margrass. TENNIS The Tennis Team, under guidance of (loach Teppcr and Manager Seclow, has as its goal the South Hudson Championship which it won, hut lost to a powerful Weehawkcn combine. In addition to the regular schedule, the B.H.S. players competed with the taut teams from DeWitt (Hinton in New York, and Blair Academy.
