OH DOCTOR! Once again with the co-operative spirit necessary to produce a great success, the Glee Clubs, Orchestra, faculty and student body joined together to make Oh Doctor!” an outstanding spectacle. We are still attempting to solve the complications that arose at Dr. Drinkwatcr’s Sanitarium when Glory, the Doctor’s grand-daughter, sent her best friend. Honor, as proxy to that now famous twenty-first birthday party. There were patients who limped, wheezed, and whined in true hypochondriac manner: dashing cowboys such as Mclllroy and Bradley who thrilled the girls to pieces: swaggering Mexicans led by Westneat displaying all the villainies of a real Pancho Villa: goddesses, lisping doctors, and morning glories; Jean 1'ilippone as a languorous senorita, and Miriam Paliwoda, dancing a fancy juts dc deux straight out of the Ballet Russe. And Tommy Mitchell in that exotic costume! Our heart lxxits were audible. ()f course, the fact that the coffers of the school fund were considerably swelled by the appreciative audience was a matter of small importance! In addition to those already mentioned, the principal characters were played by Rosemary Brady. I.ouisa Gray, Merrill Pisher. George Misdom. Marry Rubin. Llizabeth Parowski. F.dward Antczak. W illiam Reiner. Betty Ross. Nan ilundcn. Metro Romankiw. Willard Trent, Jean Taruc. and Melvin Ross who were outstanding in their roles. Naturally, our hats are off to the directors of music, of dancing, and of dramatics. the .Misses Helen M. Wakefield. Mary B. Wucherer, and Jennie I. Dougherty. under whose able coaching the production developed into a finished, professional performance. Fifty-six
