Moves of the various players are recorded and then analyzed in general discussion. The value of this intra-club practice and analysis was demonstrated in the five board match against St. IVter’s in which the Bayonne players scored three checkmates, one stalemate, and one loss. The members have debated with other schools, among them I eaneck and Rutherford. They also acquitted themselves admirably in the Regional C ontests for the State Championship. DRAMATIC CLUB Most outstanding of the activities of this organization for the year 1940-1941 was the play Life Begins at Sixteen, which starred Wilma Spewak and Gabriel Colasurdo. It is hoped that •‘Highness , a one-act play to be presented at the Forensic League Dramatic Contest, will emerge at the top of the list.
