IT ALI. COMES HACK TO LS NOW- . . . . Remember ? Octolier With a rousing cheer for the football team we march into )ctober .... first glimpse of report cards assures us we are really back in school . . . then we try to forget it ... . clubs blossom forth .... scads of dances .... who can Rumba or l.a Conga ?.... knee socks are a novelty.... R. H. S. prize jitterbugs wear themselves to a frazzle at the Student Congress dance .... Ruddy Litzmaurice gets into his stride .... re-union of Class of ‘34 with ‘‘Memories as theme song.... monthly tests rear their ugly heads .... President Roosevelt zooms through town .... gosh ! September Starts with a bugle blow to wake us up tennis tournament begins but no one knows it ....as usual lockers refuse to open.... the football team gets itself a new waterboy . . . . Student Congress puts its nose to the grindstone ....Sophs sympathetically watch the Freshies look for Room 407 .... cafeteria resumes it normal hubbub .... Seniors glory in their new found supremacy .... little wanderers trip into wrong rooms .... the one and only Social of the 11 R's goes off with a bang----- we get down to brass tacks. No ember St. Peter’s game has all the trimmings---- peanuts, popcorn, and new drum majorettes ....Student Ticket begins to show its real value .... inquiries about Swimming I earn begin .... few dances to relieve the monotony . . . . Mathematics Club sponsors a contest and Dr. Merit v attends .... M r. Mudd's Lambs walk off with Red Cross Kanner once more (lift v dollars worth of tlag) • ■ .Johnny Dor-s vea visits R. 11. S. and gives the gang a thrill . . vacation at last ain’t turkey grand---- funny how easy it is to eat too much . . . .eight-thirty comes early after vacation. forty-four

December Swimming meets and basketball games constitute our main athletic fare—and what exciting fare!.... footlights and glamour for B. 11. S.'s Dramatic Club. . . Life Begins at Sixteen unearths unknown star material .... two undergraduate babie . lean McBride ami War ren Burns, steal stellar roles... and still we wait for snow, hut's no snow .... the decorations this year are Santas’s delight . . . Twelfth Night is viewed by the Beading Club .... our party at Christmas is fun .... turkey is still grand .... so is the vacation .... Christmas Kve and still no Christmas tree .... we ring out good old 1940. February January so crowded that we steal a January picture for February.... Alvin Cross, the over-anxious child, blows up the physics room at the drop of a hat .... no more Reg. 108 slow balls are now available but no one has time for them .... we haven’t had a dance in centuries .... Washington’s Birthday conies on Saturday—ain't no justice .... latest outfits of the cheerleaders are as modern as Lana Turner . . . . brand new Seniors take over in a big way .... Student Activity Awards are distributed amidst much applause.... weary minds are arising from the chaotic depths of Supervised Tests. January Knthusiastic reception of l)r. Robinson will long be remembered .... rumors of exemptions are being whispered about the corridors rumors false .... Seniors are tasting the last of their power .... everybody has the flu Ruth Kanstciner llirts with the measles.... snow teases us now and then .... the well known midnight oil begins to burn .... only a man like Boris Karloff could invent exams and only .Milton Cooper could pass them.... changes galore! .... .Mr. Smith steps out . . . . Seniors give him a grand farewell assembly Dr. Merity steps up .... Dr. Robinson steps in . . . . and we settle down. March The knitting needles are living in 116.... brilliantly colored afghans are the result March winds soon ruin Wilma Spewak's perfectly coiffured tresses ... cold blasts from the Bay force Room 211 to leave its cozy nook and wander in search of a home.... we are all prettied up for the Year Book pictures.... breathlessly we await the descent of the Kvalu-ators and pledge ourselves to be perfect specimens .... library misses familiar presence of Miss Mary Ann Clark .... dreary days discourage us. forty-five
