Faglut Qlinilrersiig mann, Uexae FnijM-?hH Prnihrni December 31, 1947 The world should be constantly reminded that the most valuable thing about an institution of learning is the spirit of the students, not its lands, libraries, and laboratories. A very small part of a student's education is obtained from books. The worthwhile thing is breathed in onto the campus out of the atmosphere generated by the student body as the students mix and mingle with each other. If a student desires to get the maximum benefit out of his college days, he should know every student by name and where he or she lives. I would not take one million dollars for what Baylor did for me, not through books, but by virtue of the fellowship and comradeship that I enjoyed. I
