Dedication Un Qctober 26, 1946, Baylor Univerf sity witnessed the largest Homecoming of her history. The gym was packed for the pep rally, and thousands jammed the stadium for the game, organizations and classes had hearty reunions, and the campus was teeming with exes, students, and friends. The bonfires were brighter, the floats bigger, and the handclasps warmer than they had been for many years. Many of the Baylorites who'd gone out to iight had returned, others had not. Both groups made Homecoming possible, but the greatness of that occaf sion was due to yet another reason. The activities, from the memorial servf ice to the football game, were but an outward expression of the biggest thing we know at Baylor-the Baylor spirit. To that spirit, the 1947 RoUNDfUP is dedicated. '75 99 96 These pages do not contain or reveal that spirit. What is pictured and ref corded here from this Homecoming year, however, will perhaps help you in future years to recall your days at Baylor and the spirit which pervaded them.
