F7iLllldS and Fellow-u'01'1cc1's: Baylor University, a great hanking house nearly one hundred years old, has lent from the ample store of wisdom overflowing her coffers to each of her iifty thousand students an education to be invested by each for the enrichmentlof mankind. She expects a return in love and loyalty, in service and money. These returns, in many cases long overdue, she must have to live, for she sorely needs larger housing facilities for her capital stock, and additional and more modern equipment and an increased working force. I challenge you, one and all, to pay noxv what you owe her, the legitimate interest on her generous loan, that she may continue her high and holy business of promoting the Christian ideals in education. TG Tl-IE STUDENTS 'Ili' in lm im f -, Ex'ERx' college campus is a stage. The theme, Life and How to Live It, is forever the same. The cast changes. Each player has the opportunity, through his own individual effort. of becoming one of the principals or of gravitating to the list of extras. Life does not begin after grad- uation, but both in college and afterward each scene of the play means life and living here and now-not just rehearsing for scenes to come. HE Baylor spirit is a sacred fire lighted long ago by the founders of the institu- tion, and many have come to warm their hands and their hearts at the flame. In order that it continue to glow and to grow, each must give the best of himself to the fire which, burning out the dross, will give back to him a refined and tempered element from which the mainspring of his life in the years to come will be fashioned.
