From the wilds of South Georgia there came to Baylor to enter the seventh grade a doctor's son whom we all know as Richard Brown. From the year he entered to his graduation Richard was a leader and athlete of great ability. A letterman in three sports and captain of the baseball team. Richard has attained the highest rank possible in military. besides having held numerous class otlices. Next yea: Richard. with true loyalty to his state. plans to enter the University of Georgia. which should be proud to receive Swainsboro's bid for a place on the map. So long. Dick! Watching Ed on the basketball court. one notices the ambidexterity which Monk has acquired after long hours of practice and hard work. Also in evi- dence is the fact that the big boy is one of the best shots on the Hoor. When Ed was a junior. Major llill would send him into the game. and the other four men on the team would form a screen for Ed. who would calmly swish in the field goals from all over the court. llut Ed practiced during the summer: and during the Gnal year he was one ofthe best ball-han- dlers on the floor.
