BILL L. HALBERT . . . Bill was born on january 9, 1951, in Fort Wortli. Hous- ton has been his home town for 16 years. He graduated from Aldine High of Houston in 1947. He attended Baylor University from 1947 to 1951 and graduated with a B.A. degree. His major was religion with minors in history and English. He worked one year before entering Med. School. At Baylor Med. he has been vice president of the BSU. He was married in 1952 to Audrey Mallett, They expect their first child in September, 1956. His internship will be at Hermann Hospital, Houston. He plans a general practice in Texas, THERON HAWKINS . . . Theron was born in Tulia, Texas, March 20, 1930, but calls Hart, Texas, his home. After graduation from Hart High School he entered West Texas State College at Can- yon and after two years there, he transferred to Baylor Uni- versity. In college he was very active in intramural sports and was president of the Baylor Panhandlers Club. Despite a heavy academic schedule he has continued a hobby of carpentry and wood-making. After. his marriage in 1952 to joy Stelten, Theron en- tered Baylor University College of Medicine. He is a mem- ber of Alpha Kappa Kappa. He has a little girl. Following internship at Hermann Hospital, he plans to join the army, take a residency and enter general practice in Texas. THOMAS P. HAYNIE . . . Tom was born August 9, 1932, in Hearn, Texas. His present home town is Calvin, Texas. He graduated from Hearn High in 1949. From 1949 to 1951 he attended the University of the South at Sewanee, Tennessee, and then transferred to the University of Texas for 1951-52 session. At Baylor Med. he has been a member of Phi Beta Pi Fra- ternity, Osler Society, and President of Phi Beta Pi his senior year. He was married March 10, 1956. to Bette Flossel. His internship will be rotating at University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. He plans a residency' in internal medicine.

Singing Cadets, and the Texas Academy of Science. and received his B.S. degree in 1952. Fraternity. children. JAMES MITCHELL GRAY, JR .... was born in New York City on February 3, 1932. His home town is now Houston, where he was graduated from San Jacinto High School in 1949. At Baylor University jimmey majored in English Lang- uages and Literature. He was a member of Sigma Tau Delta English Honor Society, Phi Mu Alpha Honorary Music Fraternity, Beta Beta Beta, Alpha Chi Scholastic So- ciety, and Alpha Epsilon Delta Pre-medical Society. He re- ceived his B.A. degree Cum Laude. While at Baylor Med. Jimmey has been a member of Alpha Kappa Kappa and Baptist Student Union. He re- ceived his high school degree from Price College in 1942 and attended St. Louis University until 1944 when he en- listed in the Army. He returned to St. Louis University and graduated in 1948 with a B.S. degree. At the University of Texas jack did graduate work in Vertebrate ecology, receiving his M.S. in 1951 and completing his Ph.D. in 1952. children. 9 . V49 LEWIS D. HETHCOCK . . . was born in Cooper, Texas, March 2, 1932. He graduated from Weslaco High School in his home town of Weslaco, Texas, in 1948. Lewis attended Baylor University and received his B.A. degree with majors in psychology and chemistry. At Baylor he was a member of Sigma Tau Delta English Honor So- ciety, Phi Chi Psychology Honorary and Alpha Phi Omega Service Fraternity. At Baylor Med. he has served as president of his Senior Class, president of the Catholic Student Union, and vice president of Alpha Kappa Kappa. He is married to Mary Lou Pfannkuch. Houston is his home town, as he was graduated from San Jacinto High School there in 1948. Char1ey's preparation for medical school took place at the University of Houston. He was graduated with a B.A. degree in Biology in 1952. At the University of Houston he was a member of the American Chemical Society and the Texas Academy of Science. Charley plans to do general practice somewhere in Texas after he has completed his internship.
