CHESTER W. DRAWHORN . . . was born January 3, 1929, in Port Neches, Texas. He was active in sports during his school days at Port Neches High. At graduation in 1946 he was Salutatorian. C. W. spent a year at Lamar junior College in Beaumont and a year at the University of Texas. Service with the U. S. Navy in Korea interrupted his education for three years. He then returned to Lamar and was graduated in 1952. At Baylor Med. he has ranked among the top ten sopho- mores and juniors, and was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Honorary Medical Fraternity. C. W. and his wife Mary Inez have one son. Following his internship in the Service, C. W. plans a Su rgery residency. fr ' f JEAN D. DUKE . . . was born in Dublin, Texas, january 28, 1925, but calls Lubbock his home. He spent four years in the Marine Corps on a B-25 in the South Pacific. On discharge from the service, Jean re- turned to Howard Payne and was graduated with honors and a B.A. degree in 1950. Shortly after graduation he was married to Lu Ann Moore. After teaching General Science for two years at Coleman High School, Jean went to the University of Texas for a term of graduate work in bacteriology-prior to en- rollment in B.U.C.M. He is a member of Phi Beta Pi Medical Fraternity. Following internship at Hermann Hospital, jean hopes to do general practice in West Texas. FRANK EDMISTON . . . was born in Crockett, Texas, in 1932. He was graduated from Crockett High School in 1949. The next year Frank spent at Schriener Institute, where he was a member of Phi Theta Kappa honorary scholastic fraternity. He then transferred to the University of Texas. While there he was a Sigma Chi and also belonged to A.E.D. honorary pre-medical society. Frank came to Baylor Med. in 1952. He is a member of Osler Society and Phi Beta Pi. We shall remember him for his sociability and calm approach to all matters. Frank will intern at Montreal General Hospital in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. His future plans include prepa- ration for the' practice of Psychiatry. GX ,4-

es- 'Qt PAUL KAY CONNER, JR .... was born in Wichita Falls, Texas, September 23, 1930, the son of Dr. and Mrs. P. K. Conner. He subsequently moved to jacksboro and was graduated from high school there. At Southern Methodist University, where he played basketball, Kay was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity and served as its president. He was graduated in 1952 with in ' 1 Iacksboro. . ' 1 ' Research. IZ t X ROBERT EARL COONS . . . was born in Houston, Texas, on March 18, 1931. He played both basketball and baseball for Browning High School in New York City before his graduation in 1949. Bob attended the University of Texas 1949-52, and after completing his work there enrolled at Baylor University College of Medicine. He has served as House Manager and Vice Archon of Phi Beta Pi Medical Fraternity. In july, 1955, Bob was married to Carolyn Crawford. Internship at jefferson Davis Hospital and a residency separate him from his chosen field of anaesthesiology. a B.A. degree in Psychology. At Baylor Med. he is a member of Alpha Kappa Kappa, Osler Society, and the American Federation for Clinical In 1954 Kay was married to Carolyn McConnell of Kay will intern at jefferson Davis Hospital. His future plans include a residency in Internal Medicine. X ,.f ,J I Jw fi' BILL BRADFORD CULLEN . . . r was born in Norrilton, Ark., on September 11, 1925. 1' Bill graduated from high school in his hometown of Har- ,795- lingen, Texas, in 1942. He attended Brownsville junior College one year and then enlisted in the U. S. Navy where he served with a rating of Pharmacist Mate 2fC. After the Navy, Bill attended Abilene Christian College and Texas A8cI, from which he received a B.S. degree. He was president of the Natural Science Society there. Bill was married in 1946 to Dorothy Craig and they have three children. At Baylor Med. Bill has been a member of Phi Chi Medical Fraternity, His plans for the future include in- ternship at Memorial Hospital, Corpus Christi, and General Practice somewhere in Texas.

He graduated from Abilene Public Schools in 1948. Bobby Jack attended Vanderbilt University, where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He was awarded his B.A. degree from Vanderbilt in 1952. At Baylor Med. Phi Chi is his fraternal affiliation. Bobby jack was married to Lale Murrey in 1953 and they have one son. After internship at Jefferson Davis Hospital he eventually plans to do general practice in Texas. I X ,MY . s '4 , WILLIAM H. FANCHER . . . was born in Carthage, Mississippi, April 26, 1931. He finished Louisville High School in his hometown of Louis- 1 ville, Mississippi. At Mississippi College in Clinton, Bill majored in Zoology and Chemistry and received his B.S. degree in 1952. While at Mississippi College he was a member of the Debate Team, Photographic Society, and President of Hermenian Literary Society. At Baylor Med., Bill is a member of Alpha Kappa Kappa Medical Fraternity and Baptist Student Union. Bill was married to Jeanne Fancher in 1951. They have two daughters. His plans for the future include internship at Baptist Hospital, Nashville, Tennessee, and General Practice in Mississippi. ini WILLIAM C. FRANKLIN . . . was born in Center, Texas, on June 50, 1952. Although he was graduated from Alamo Heights High School in San Antonio, Corpus Christi is his present home town. Bill's preparatory work for medical school took place at Baylor University in Waco from 1949-1952. At Baylor Med. he has been a member of Phi Chi Medical Fraternity. Following his internship at St. Louis City Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri, Bill plans a residency and specialty prac- tice in internal medicine. lr
