'Y' THOMAS E. CAIN . . . Tom was born on February 29, 1932. in Plainview, Texas. Plainview remains his home town. He graduated from Plainview High in 1949 and then attended Texas Tech from 1949 to 1952. He was a member of Alpha Epsilon Delta and the American Chemical Society. At Baylor Med. he has been a member of Phi Chi Medical Fraternity and Osler Society. He was President of Osler Society and Class representative to the S.A.M.A. He was married on December 28, 1953. to Therese Arnold. Their first child is expected in September, 1956. His internship will be at jefferson Davis. He plans a residency in Orthopedics. 5 --11 A married. ROGERS KING COLEMAN . . . who hails from Vernon, was born in Palestine, Texas, December 28, 1931. He was graduated from Vernon High School in 1949. He attended Texas Christian University where he was president of the Texas Christian Youth Fellowship, of the YM-YWCA and of Inter-Club Council. He received his B.S. in 1955. In Baylor Med. he was a member of Phi Chi Medical Fraternity and co-editor of the 1956 AESCULAPIAN. He was married to Mary Lou Price in 1951 and they have a daughter. john Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth will claim him next year. 'N Un - . Y gf, ff HUGH NORMAN BROWN . . . was born April 25, 1930, in Houston, Texas, and grad- uated from high school there. At the University of Houston he was vice president of the Westminster Fellowship, Secretary of Alpha Phi Omega, and a member of the Frontier Fiesta Association. He re- ceived his B.S. degree from the University of Houston in 1952. Alpha Kappa Kappa is Hugh's fraternal affiliation at Baylor Medical. Hugh plans to intern at Methodist Hospital in Houston before entering the general practice of medicine. . ll: hz JOHN BUMPUS . . . was born October 5, 1929, in Birmingham, Alabama. After graduation from Ensley High School there in 1948, he attended Bethany Peniel College in Bethany, Oklahoma, finishing with an A.B. degree in 1952. While in college he was Vice President of the Biology Club and' a member of the Letterman's Club. ' .....- 71 S.- 'E' At B.U.C.M. he was a member of Phi Beta Pi Medical Fraternity and did well as a scholar. Bump and the former Mary Evans were married in 1951 and have one son. He will intern at Hermann Hospital and then enter General Practice. ' up '- .'1' , - hp. , I it 'FPX ..-...f W GENE EDBURN BURKE . . . was born in Houston, Texas, May 2, 1929, and was graduated from San Jacinto High School as Salutatorian in 1947. Undergraduate days were spent in the University of Texas where he was Phi Beta Kappa his iunior year and Presi- dent of Phi Sigma Delta Social Fraternity two years. He received his B.A. Summa Cum Laude in Economics in 1952. At B.U.C.M. he was a member of Phi Delta Epsilon Medical Fraternity and was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Fraternity his junior year. He plans to take a residency in one of the eastern medi- cal centers following internship at jefferson Davis Hospital in Houston. He will return to Houston to practice Internal Medicine.

es- 'Qt PAUL KAY CONNER, JR .... was born in Wichita Falls, Texas, September 23, 1930, the son of Dr. and Mrs. P. K. Conner. He subsequently moved to jacksboro and was graduated from high school there. At Southern Methodist University, where he played basketball, Kay was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity and served as its president. He was graduated in 1952 with in ' 1 Iacksboro. . ' 1 ' Research. IZ t X ROBERT EARL COONS . . . was born in Houston, Texas, on March 18, 1931. He played both basketball and baseball for Browning High School in New York City before his graduation in 1949. Bob attended the University of Texas 1949-52, and after completing his work there enrolled at Baylor University College of Medicine. He has served as House Manager and Vice Archon of Phi Beta Pi Medical Fraternity. In july, 1955, Bob was married to Carolyn Crawford. Internship at jefferson Davis Hospital and a residency separate him from his chosen field of anaesthesiology. a B.A. degree in Psychology. At Baylor Med. he is a member of Alpha Kappa Kappa, Osler Society, and the American Federation for Clinical In 1954 Kay was married to Carolyn McConnell of Kay will intern at jefferson Davis Hospital. His future plans include a residency in Internal Medicine. X ,.f ,J I Jw fi' BILL BRADFORD CULLEN . . . r was born in Norrilton, Ark., on September 11, 1925. 1' Bill graduated from high school in his hometown of Har- ,795- lingen, Texas, in 1942. He attended Brownsville junior College one year and then enlisted in the U. S. Navy where he served with a rating of Pharmacist Mate 2fC. After the Navy, Bill attended Abilene Christian College and Texas A8cI, from which he received a B.S. degree. He was president of the Natural Science Society there. Bill was married in 1946 to Dorothy Craig and they have three children. At Baylor Med. Bill has been a member of Phi Chi Medical Fraternity, His plans for the future include in- ternship at Memorial Hospital, Corpus Christi, and General Practice somewhere in Texas.
