RICHARD BOHANNON . . . was born in Oakland, California, in 1925 and was active in high school athletics. ' ' Dick served five years in the Air Corps, during which 5 time he met and married Gloria Candor, After two bouts with T.B., he decided it would be cheaper to be a doctor so he entered Abilene Christian College in 1947. Eight and a A half years and four children later Bo is getting his M.D. . ! Dick teaches a class at Central Church of Christ. He also is interested in portrait painting. Among his summer jobs he has prepared antigens for the Allergy Dept. and worked as an anesthetist. He plans to go into general practice after internship at jefferson Davis Hospital. 1' DAVID L. A ' , Following two years of study at Kemper Military Acad- W' emy David enrolled at Southern Methodist University, and was awarded his B.S. degree there in 1952. David was married to Juliana Lofland in 1950. They have one son. At Baylor Med. David is very active as a member of Phi Chi Fraternity. He will serve a straight Obstetrics and Gynecology in- ternship at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, Maryland. A residency in this specialty will complete his preparation for practice. . ' ,,-srl - lm JULES BORGER . . . ii was born in Houston, Texas, March 1, 1931. He attended . - San Jacinto High School, graduating there in 1949. if Pre-medical work was done at the Rice Institute, and l jules received the jesse jones Scholarship his junior year. At B.U.C.M. jules has served as Secretary and President of Phi Delta Epsilon Medical Fraternity and Secretary of the Inter-Fraternity Council. He was further distinguished by being elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor So' ciety. 21.11- jules and his wife, the former Roselyn Friedmen, are the proud parents of a little girl. He will intern at Brooke General Hospital in San An- tonio and plans to practice some surgical specialty in Houston.

He was ' ' graduated as an honor student from Austin High School in - - I. 5 SOIL i CLAUDE C. ATKINS . . . was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, on September 19, 1932. His hometown is Blanco, Texas, where he graduated from high school. After graduation in 1948 Claude en- tered Southwest Texas State College, from which he re- ceived a B.S. degree in 1952. Since coming to Baylor Medical, Claude has been an active worker in Phi Chi Medical Fraternity, being secre- tary of this organization his senior year. He is also a member of Baptist Student Union. Claude's plans for the future include internship at City Hospital in St. Louis to be followed by a residency in Surgery. J, ' ,.Fr v11fl,. 1- lv Austin, Texas, in 1949. He attended the University of Houston for one year and then went to the University of Texas where he was a 6' , member of Alpha Epsilon Delta. GLENN DAVID BLAISDELL . . . was born in Rock Island, Texag November 29, 1931, but hails from Corpus Christi. He was graduated from High School there in 1949, as salutatorian of his class. During his three years at Baylor University he was a member of Alpha Chi Honor Society, Beta Beta Beta, and was active in various campus religious activities. He re- ceived his B.S. in 1953. At B.U.C.M. he was a member of Alpha Kappa Kappa Medical Fraternity and active in B.S.U. Glenn was married in 1955 to Janette Young. Following internship at john Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, he plans to enter the medical mission field. ' If

At the University of Houston he was vice president of the Westminster Fellowship, Secretary of Alpha Phi Omega, and a member of the Frontier Fiesta Association. He re- ceived his B.S. degree from the University of Houston in 1952. Alpha Kappa Kappa is Hugh's fraternal affiliation at Baylor Medical. Hugh plans to intern at Methodist Hospital in Houston before entering the general practice of medicine. . ll: hz JOHN BUMPUS . . . was born October 5, 1929, in Birmingham, Alabama. After graduation from Ensley High School there in 1948, he attended Bethany Peniel College in Bethany, Oklahoma, finishing with an A.B. degree in 1952. While in college he was Vice President of the Biology Club and' a member of the Letterman's Club. ' .....- 71 S.- 'E' At B.U.C.M. he was a member of Phi Beta Pi Medical Fraternity and did well as a scholar. Bump and the former Mary Evans were married in 1951 and have one son. He will intern at Hermann Hospital and then enter General Practice. ' up '- .'1' , - hp. , I it 'FPX ..-...f W GENE EDBURN BURKE . . . was born in Houston, Texas, May 2, 1929, and was graduated from San Jacinto High School as Salutatorian in 1947. Undergraduate days were spent in the University of Texas where he was Phi Beta Kappa his iunior year and Presi- dent of Phi Sigma Delta Social Fraternity two years. He received his B.A. Summa Cum Laude in Economics in 1952. At B.U.C.M. he was a member of Phi Delta Epsilon Medical Fraternity and was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Fraternity his junior year. He plans to take a residency in one of the eastern medi- cal centers following internship at jefferson Davis Hospital in Houston. He will return to Houston to practice Internal Medicine.
