MORTON ADELS . . . was born April 7, 1932, in Houston. His hometown is Tyler, Texas, where he graduated from high school. He attended the University of Oklahoma and received his B.S. degree in zoology. He was a member of Phi Eta Sigma freshman honor society, Alpha Epsilon Delta pre- medical honorary, Pi Lambda Phi, and the Oklahoma bas- ketball team. At Baylor Med, Morton was a member of Phi Delta Epsilon and Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honorary Fra- ternity. He was married in 1953 to Phyllis Mirkin. They have one daughter. Morton's internship will be served at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. BOBBY R. ALFORD . . . was born in Tyler, Texas, May 50, 1932, and was grad- uated from High School there in 1949. His first two years of undergraduate work were done at Tyler junior College and were culminated by his re- ceiving the Associate of Arts in 1951. The next year at the University of Texas finished his preparation for medical school. At B.U.C.M. he was a member of Phi Chi Medical Fra- ternity, Osler Society and Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Scholastic Fraternity. Summer jobs included externship at the Medical Center Hospital in Tyler and research in the B.U.C.M. Dept. of Surgery. In 1955 Bob was married to Othelia Dorn. He will intern at j.D.H. and eventually enter General Practice. WILLIAM J. ANDERSON, III . . . was born in Meridian, Mississippi, November 26, 1930, the son of Dr. and Mrs. W. J. Anderson, jr. After graduation from Meridian Public Schools, he at- tended in order, Meridian junior College, the University of Mississippi, and the University of Mississippi Medical School. He is a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon and Phi Chi Medical Fraternity, having joined the class at Baylor Med. as a junior. Bill was married to Russelyn Connelly in 1951. They have one son and one daughter. Internship for Bill is at the Confederate Memorial Hos- pital in Shreveport, Louisiana. He plans to be a general surgeon.

He was ' ' graduated as an honor student from Austin High School in - - I. 5 SOIL i CLAUDE C. ATKINS . . . was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, on September 19, 1932. His hometown is Blanco, Texas, where he graduated from high school. After graduation in 1948 Claude en- tered Southwest Texas State College, from which he re- ceived a B.S. degree in 1952. Since coming to Baylor Medical, Claude has been an active worker in Phi Chi Medical Fraternity, being secre- tary of this organization his senior year. He is also a member of Baptist Student Union. Claude's plans for the future include internship at City Hospital in St. Louis to be followed by a residency in Surgery. J, ' ,.Fr v11fl,. 1- lv Austin, Texas, in 1949. He attended the University of Houston for one year and then went to the University of Texas where he was a 6' , member of Alpha Epsilon Delta. Giles and the Mrs., the former Margie Olle, have one Since entering Baylor Med., he has joined 'Phi Chi Medical Fraternity and has been elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Honorary Medical Fraternity. Giles will intern at Brooke Army Hospital in San An- tonio, followed by preparation for a specialty, type un- known at present. GLENN DAVID BLAISDELL . . . was born in Rock Island, Texag November 29, 1931, but hails from Corpus Christi. He was graduated from High School there in 1949, as salutatorian of his class. During his three years at Baylor University he was a member of Alpha Chi Honor Society, Beta Beta Beta, and was active in various campus religious activities. He re- ceived his B.S. in 1953. At B.U.C.M. he was a member of Alpha Kappa Kappa Medical Fraternity and active in B.S.U. Glenn was married in 1955 to Janette Young. Following internship at john Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, he plans to enter the medical mission field. ' If
