WALLACE Alpha Omega Alpha is a non-secret Medical College Honor Society with membership based on scholarship and moral qualifications. It was organized in 1902 with definite mission of encouraging personal honesty and the spirit of medical research. The Beta of Texas Chapter at Baylor University College of Medicine was established in 1949. A maximum of fifteen percent of each class may be selected for membership. Jnlerfrafernify 60111401 The Inter-Fraternity Council is composed of two representatives from each of the medical fraternities at B.U.C.M. other than honorary fraternities. The objects of the organization are to provide equal representation of the medical fraternities, to provide liason with the adminis- tration and faculty of the college and to resolve interfraternity problems. The Interfraternity Council formulates rules for fraternity rush. It is also the sponsor of the AESCULAPIAN and proposes to sponsor an all-school dance in the future. Olser meets once a month for lectures by faculty members, students, and guests on phases of medical history, and on some current developments in medicine throughout the world. The society has also begun an excellent collection of rare books on phases of medical history. Membership in the society is available for those most interested.
