Each evening as the curtain of night fell over the billows we talked and quaffed great droughts of learning with our celebrated passengersg Hamurabi, Alexander, Caesar, and Pompey. However, one day in late June, an Examination Gale surprised us. It blew for days and 'nights and many an old tar was in danger Up decks, 'but ambition and study kept him on his sea legs. After ten longmonths our cruise' was ended. As the ship dropped anchor, old Father Time came aboard from the piloting tug and cried, Well done, brave crew! Come ashore.
