Well, here we are in 1930 and Bayley is represented on the gridiron! The initial call for candidates was answered by all the boys who love this manly sport. Under the watchful eye of our Coach, Bus Griffin, a fairly good team was rounded out of green material. A squad of twenty-two was selected to represent Bayley in its first campaign for football honors. The schedule was limited, due to a late start and because of the fact that all the schools had completed their schedules. However, a few games were played with the second teams of some schools and in these, Bayley showed promise of good ball teams in the future. ' Inter-class games were contested with great zeal by all classes. The Seniors had the honor of being the first football Class Champs.
