W f -' n A 1928 THE 73AY..C6'Y QANNUAL 1928 yu UN SOPHOMORE B fi, EMPUS UGIT as it has always done and Father Time, in passing an- other milestone, has found us elevated to the realm of flippant Sopho- ' mores. Our conduct is now that befitting upperclassmen. 4' eg if Sl . with Algebra, Latin, and Science, but this state of elation was short-lived for we soon were entangled by the intricacies of Geometry, the difficult conjuga- tions of Latin and Spanish, the many, many facts regarding History and for a long time exasperated the Commercial teacher by our persistence in putting debits where credits should be. However, all these difficulties were soon- eliminated under the capable hands of our supervisors. We started our second year greatly elated having successfully coped Events went along famously until the Revival of Learning fperiod of examsj when we worked earnestly enough to delight the heart of any pedagogue, had he chanced to see us. Most of us weathered the storm, not however, without incurring a condition, here and there. H Life is never one sweet song, but then Every cloud has a silver lining. This in brief sums up our life in school. There have been days that were very trying, then, again, days that were very gay. But youth is never pessimistic and we have struck a happy medium, trying to be cheerful, always. The year has flown silently and swiftly by. There have been many humorous episodes that cannot be recorded because of limited space. We hope that our future will be as happy and carefree as our Sophomore year has been. To the Seniors, we extend our heartfelt wishes and fondest hopes that their paths will be strewn with the red roses they love so well. S ixt y-nine
