XVhy did anyone choose such an unearthly hour to get up? From these expressions one would think james lazy. But, once he is really wide awake, he is a different man. jim has always been knee-deep in athletic activities. Basketball claimed his services for three years and as forward on the Varsity he was one of the high scorers and most valuable players on the team. For two consecutive years he held office as Secretary of the B. A. A., and represented his class in every branch of athletics. XVe wish him all the success that he can attain at Seton Hall, assured that if we all worked as hard as jim and had his persistence, our accomplishments would have no bounds. Twenty-eight

1928 THE BAYLEY QANNUAL 1928 W0 my .IOSEPHINE MARGARET BECKER Manager Girls' Basketball, 4 'QSMJQ af HAPPY-GO-LUCKY maiden is our jon who hails from the nearby metropolis of Basking Ridge. Sometimes in the midst of a lecture, we can hear a giggle and without looking around we know indisputably that it is none other than jo who finds it impossible to be quiet for any length of time. But this does not mean that she neglects her studies because she is efficient in everything she undertakes. A smile for everyone seems to be her policy and, in some mysterious manner or other, she manages to get along with everyone and never seems to be in trouble. Such a disposition, to live in peace with one's fellow beings, should prove a valuable asset to Io in future years if she follows out her plans to become a school teacher. Twenty-seven

A., 4 Varsity Basketball, 3, 4 Track Team, 1 ICTURED above, friends, the best dressed girl in the class. Mary has been awarded this distinction and it is well merited for there is no one more deserving of it than she is. Mary has been with us since the Kindergarten in the Bayley Grammar School. Consequently we have grown to know and value her true worth. You can, then, understand how difficult it will be for all of us to say good-bye to her on gradu- ation day. XVithout a doubt she will enter into the business world, and that sphere of activity will be fortunate to receive such a capable girl. May all your little troubles then be over, Mary, and henceforth may your joys be as boundless as the ocean. Twenty-nine
