Charles Tompkins Gale Merry Russell Morris President Vice President Student Council Mr. Davenport Helen Ross Howard Earnest Mrs. Leach Class Sponsor Secretary Treasurer Class Mother Class History Our second story in our splendid building has been constructed very efficiently and completed in every detail by this year’s sophomores. There are 43 sophs who are building this floor, 23 boys and 20 girls. When they first entered in their building as freshmen, there were 72 members. When they entered as sophomores fifty registered but now only 43 are still on the register as the building term draws to a close. Charles Tompkins as president, Mr. Davenport as sponsor and Mrs. Leach as class mother, with the aid of the other officers, were chosen at the first of the year as the foremen of the carpentry work to be carried on. Football lettermen, Morris, Lair, Merry and Calvert began the official building when football season opened. There are seven Pep Club members in the sophomore class. (14)

Class History Another highlight of this year was the Junior Class Play, “Brewster's Millions, with Margaret Black and Robert Tague playing the leading roles. Next came the operetta, “Belle of Bagdad, with Don Candlin, Dorothy Heyl and Fred Long, members of the cast. The Juniors have taken part in all the activities of the school year, including the play festival, music contest, debate tournament and commercial contest. Then, when the month of April came along, the Juniors, according to the time-honored custom, gave the Seniors a banquet. They have started their building, they have built it well, and now the Class of '37 is ready to add the final story to their skyscraper. (13)

Class History Debaters Beaver, Erbes and Townsend have done most of the legal work involved in the building of their second floor. Charles Tompkins in the operetta, “The Belle of Bagdad, as the Caliph, built the story up another notch on his splenlid performance. Next the players in the play festival started to work. The building began to take final form but it was by no means finished. The musicians and track stars came on through and added another row of bricks. Now they are realy to come back next year to build their third story'—a story which any student will be proud to take part. (15)
