Hey, who's that doing all the talking Missed her somewhere Oh, yes I see now, 1t's Arline Calder Guess she's a traveling sales woman She surely has the gift of gab for it Can't imagine how she sneaked on here without me hearing her who's that sitting with her? Oh, yes Mrs Keith Allen, formerly Shirley Brannan Can't imagine her leaving her six children at home with a baby sitter well, look who we have here, Philip Miller now band teacher of the Bayard school He even brought his horn along Guess 1t's to entertain us?? Now here's a fellow I couldn't miss Tom Crosier Guess he's now a professional basketball player He really must have come up in the world of basketball since his high school days It couldn't be, but it is, Marlene Hagen and Audrie Hermanson. Really a surprise to see them. Last time I heard theywerenusslonarles in Africa They were always adventurous, but I d1dn't think they'd travel all the way back here just for this trip. I I U .. We became pretty good upset artists as the season passed and slipped by Jamaica. CMB-371 One of the best games of the season was when we defeated Scranton. 159-M31 The biggest surprise came when we pulled through our first two games of the sectional. Then the big one--the defeating of Coon Rapids in an Arggglla overtime. IMS-M31 This was our most outstanding game Sgggia of the year. It also out us into district competition. Bayard won the first game by defeating Earlham. 160-M82 Then the Bayard girls lost their bid for the state tournament by losing to Napier. KS2-551 This ended our Sh-SS season and I am sure everyone feels that it was a very successful one. COACH'S COMMENTS ARTHELLA OHM: Stalwart Senior post guard. Arthella was in the opinion of many opposing coaches the outstanding post guard in this territory. MARY STROUD: Senior guard who was always dependable. Her scrap, guarding ability and rebounding were always present. BARBARA COMPTON: Competent and Skillful senior guard. She gave terrific exhibitions of rebounding and guarding in every game. DORIS SCHOON: Senior guard, very dependable. Her spirit, her play and the encouragement she gave other players will be a great loss to Bayard next year. JANET ROSENBLADT: Senior forward, the teams best long shot. She made 208 points for the season. BEVERLY WOOD: Junior out-guard. A very dependable reserve. She should see much first team action next year. JANICE McCOOL: Speedy sophomore forward. This was Jan1ce's first real chance at forward and she came through like a veteran with 33? points. KAREN HEDGES: Sophomore guard elected co-captain of next years team. Should hear a good deal of Karen in the future. MARILYN POHL: Sophomore post forward-scored 27h points for the season. Marilyn should be one of the key cogs in Bayards teams to come. LOIS BROWN: Sophomore forward with 266 points for the year. Much should be heard from Lois the next two years. LANORE DAVIS: Scrappy reserve forward who scored 3h points. with her com- petitive attitude she is destined to make next years first team. LORETTA DAVIS: Scrappy sophomore reserve forward who scored 25 points. She has the ability, speed, and the desire to put forth a capital performance.
