' uf I Q , , .L , -f xo : ' ,, X 1 X- fr , f , , 5 ' s U -9 ? , 1' ' ,5- OUR GANG One warm autumn day, five of the many little aiddi s started their fir t day of welve years to the Bayard school Two little roses, Yvonne Ibach and Melva VanCle ve, long with three tho ns, Merle Kent Shawd, Varl Lee Paelps, and Clair Kraft se five made up the first group in our NLlttle Gang They seemed to get through their first crisis, for in their second year, they were greeted by two other members, Mighty Gusn, d 'small Smlttyn, Keith Vanden Brink and LaVern Smith As they jumped to another meeting place, he Big Seven added to their party two little Uolfs, Jerald and Nadine ll together this made one hiv growl As they drew further away from their st rting d y, they picwe' up Ruth Davis in their fourth year, but lost her in the fifth They ueren't too dismayed how ever for they gained Donney Dielenb rg nd filbur Mlnor who brought along some 'wood , Shirley foods to keep the gang w rmer In tU6lT sixth year, they ained Ruthie back, alone with Charlie Johnson Mary Ann Vaughn, and little Annie M e Ieilsen This seemed lite it would make a pretty big fanily, but the group of sixteen wished to add two more, Dill Duncan and George Drake They already had enou n for a baseb ll game, but they h d to have some sub stitutes in case of injury, so they scored another run with.
