There in the driveway in a Buick convertible, sat the former Donna Jorgensen and her seven kids. She had left her husband at home in Minnesota to run the farm while she came to take me on a trip. We decided to visit our former classmates. After a heated argument over whether we should take the 1962 Buick convertible or the 1942 Ford coupe, we decided to take the con- vertible. We took off leaving Donna's kids to fight with mine. Our first stop was Chicago where we saw the former Bayard pitcher, Dick Jones, pitching a no hit game for the Chicago cubs. Standing nearby on the side lines anxiously watching was his wife Shirley CCoon Rapidsh. That night we stopped in Indianapolis at a Swank Hotel owned by a former classmate, Marvin Hagen. We were shown to our room by bell boy, Virgil Bane. After a good night's rest our breakfast was brought to us by a very efficient maid, Evelyn wolf. It was noon before we left after visit- ing with our old friends That afternoon as we were driving down broadway in New York we stopped at a stop sign before we had a chance to start up, a car tore up beside us There in a Lincoln sat two well known New York play boys, Jack Christy and Carl Watson We looked in the back seat and there we saw Elizabeth Taylor and Margaret Truman Thinking we were in the way we left We decided to attend a concert and much to our pleasure we discovered the orchestra leader was Marge Kennedy She seemed to be doing OK for herself Next day we were in Washington D C We decided to visit the Capital however, we were delayed at the door because a certain senator and his party were leaving Someone said Senators Mathews and Bucklin were in the party They walked right by us and d1dn't even know us After that we decided to leave Washington D C they were too high toned for us' A couple of days later we arrived in Florida There sunning themselves on the beach were actresses Pat Miller and Shirley Schick who were on vaca tion It was something to know that two of our old classmates were receiving that much money per year As much as we hated to we finally left Florida On arriving in Georiga we came upon a car accident and who should be in charge of the rescue work but a red cross nurse, Shirley Gripp As we went on further down town we decided to buy some new clothes We entered a large dress shop and saw Shirley Allen modeling a wedding dress We talked so long with her we for got to buy any clothes' We next arrived in Texas where we saw two cowgirls, the former Donna Lindahl and Patsy Letterman, who were accompanied by a red haired and a brown haired chap, respectively we then took a long jump to California where we learned that Don Comp ton and Leland Bauer owned the largest orange plantation in the world Just as we were leaving we met a big International truck driven by Dave Poole It sounded like an airplane going by On our way home we decided to go through Yellow Stone National Park It was all so beautiful we decided to take home some souvenirs As we entered a large shop we were pleasantly surprised by the owner Judith Dill avou While passing through Nebraska, since it was Sunday, we decided to go church we were greatly surprised by Reverend Cadwallader and enjoyed his services very much Next day we arrived home where we found Elaine Seaman teaching school in nScrantonn and Boyd Sparks running the Bar Q ranch So here we are back at the old grind' l' ggi' E572-LL 610241 II1 s tt ' Q e e O C e o ' U D . e e ' e Q a e 0 e l . - o ' e e l Q U e Q a SK e h e e x l .w'.
