-QIQQPHEQTF C LA as 5i F E He, Mary and Bev have the special privilege, of reporting the activities of our fellow, HFlighters of 1951 as our vacation for 1961 Our first meeting was with D ball with the WChicago Beers With football comes Griffin, who now is msn- zip ball teal Next we went down Boots and Evelyn Godwin discussing We decided on e trip to locate them all Don Miller, playing professional foot- besketball and here we find Darlene sger and owner of her own basket- to the park where we found Florence nature with their pet peeves, th kindergarten children While talking with Florence and Evelyn they tell us Elnors Wolf has her own Kindergarten by now They also tell us Marilyn Moylan our nurse, is running out of patience with patients As we were walking through the State Historical Building we saw William Smalley stuffing 'Bushman Junior,' for a jungle scene From here we strolled over to 'Tin Psn Alley,' where our blues singer, Marilyn Myers, was sing'ng W to the orchestra leader, Hal Ve went south and visited san Antonio AlI'b8S8, P Xi where a tough old top sarge, Johnie it proved to be, was whipping some new recruits into line o of these were George Van Cleave and Harold Lewis when they recognized Johnson, they rushed him and threw him over the fence, they'd heard him too much before He hailed a taxi, driven by Dick Doran, who took us over to the airznrt where we found Myron Hulbert, a kite specialist, who was experimenting with a new box style Us climbed aboard the plane and we found Velma Jacobson one of where we found Barton Jackson looking is Chief, Shoot-UnwUp, Bucklin J.,-1 piloted by Doyle Bielenberg the charming and gracious for more uranium with Old Then going further north we saw Dick Rosenbladt coming in on a fast gallop, Q almost ahead of his horse just one of those Red Coated Northwest llounties , Q He had to stop for meals t,- once in awhile and in one little valley, near the air port named Hit Q Bounce, we stashed away the best yet, dished out by the hamburger artxst, Junior Stone Back home we found Jack Tu l, who has taken over the Tuel acres and live stock, talking business with Pete Yan Cleave, who having finished his appren tieeehip at the Brideson ranch, is now on his own farm Here we part with everyone and go back to our duties beatings path from the kitchen sink to the table K 5 I . ll , . STORY On one September day in 1938, nineteen passengers boarded the plane entitled 'Flight of the Green and Whiten for a journey thru the Bayard School blue One girl, Florence Boots and six boys-Jerry Buclnlin, Hal Burmeister, Dick Rosenbladt, Junior Stone, Jack Tuel, ani Lloyd Van Cleave rode this same plane for all twelve years Other passengers also on board September 1938, Donald Miller, lee Arrowsmith, Tom Capel, Bill Clayburg, Merle Hilgenberg, Joan Caraher, Doris Heath, shirley Stetzel, ani Beverly Benton In the secoui semester Roberta. Bord ani Dorothy Harris parachuted ani Leonard Saterlee boarded Our pilot this year was Avis Stevenson During our second hop we picked up one passenger, Darlene Griffin, while Shirley Stetzel left us Miss Margie Cameron directed this year's cruise For our third year we rated Mary Jean Moylan, but four left us to continue their journey on other planes These four were Merle Hilgenberg, Beverly Kopaska, Tom Capel, and Leonard Saterlee Miss Nellie Lyons was our pilot The fourth flight found ue with two passengers, Leonard Saterlee and Bill Clayburg boarding different planes We picked up one new traveler, bblly Nickel While the fifth brought three new passengers, Marilyn Were, Algen Kemmish and Beverly Wailea Doris Heath and lblly Nickel dropped Miss Gladys Kading guid Our sixth mission gained four newcomers, Bartron Jackson, George Van Cleave, Klnora Wolf and Bill Smalley Edith Lund guided us thru this year The seventh year was very prosperous because Doyle Bie1enberg,lUron Hulbert, Harold Lewis, Marilyn Moylan, Mary lbylan, Fritz Baldwin, Stanley Bass, Donald Carstens, Vera Fick, Le Roy Lindsey, and Bill Lloyd added to our passenger list Bartron Jackson, Algen Kemmish and Bill Smalley took offon tangents of their own Mrs Beatrice Gripp aided us through this journey The eighth cruise dropped Donald Miller, Lee Arrowsmith, Bill Lloyd, Joan Caraher and gathered up Bill Wolfe and Martha Parsons Bill Smalley zoomed back with us too During our short stop from the grade flights we found we were on our high school plane with three new passengers, Elaine Bowman, Rudolph Johnson, and Bartron Jackson, and Donald Carstens left us at this stop As we approached our second year of advanced flying, Donald Miller joined our journey and Fritz Baldwin, Stanley Bass, Beverly Benton Algen Kemmish, lhrths.
