CLASS HISTORY On the morn1ng of September 1 1936 we boarded the Pnmary coach of the educat1on tram that was to take us on a long Journey to h1gh school Graduatxon Day Mlss Loupee was conductor and Supt Clayton was eng1neer Twenty seven passengers went on board Among the beg1nners were these members of he present graduatmg class Dw1ght Ault Juamta Bower Ronald Brrdeson Lula Garnes Norrxs Hoxt Charles M11es Gerald Moylan JHI1 Moylan Paul Murrane and 11m Schauf The next year we boarded coach No Z w1th M1ss Dannenberger conductor and Wlth a d1fferent engmeer Mr I N Selbert At th1s stat1on we pxcked up f1ve new members and lost exght of our startmg group On the next stop we were ass1gned to coach No 3 The conductor was Mlss Leonard We p1cked up s1x mcludmg Everett H1dlebaugh and Beverly Sa1d S1x passengers of the prev1ous year d1d not Joxn us We gaxned Bermce Brown at the next term1nal where coach No 4 awarted We ga1ned two that year and lost three Our conductor was M1ss Kerwm Ga1n1ng seven wh1ch mcluded Donna Poole and Paul Van Cleave, and losmg only one we entered coach No 5 where Mlss Hockenberry was supervlsor As we checked out at our next stop we had p1cked up Jun Moylan, who had left us at the end of the thlrd Journey Coach No 6 was gulded by Mlss Barnh1ll We lost seven and gained seven on thms stretch Th1s bemg a half way mark we were begxnmng to get an a1r d1gn1ty For our next r1de, we found our conductor to be Mzss Watkms Th1s was coach No 7, where we added three passengers and lost fxve Our next coach No 8, was dxrected agam by M1ss Watkzns Mxckey Davzs, Dwam Myers Iosephlne Montgomery Duane Sheer and Vaneta Bane were among the new passengers There were thxrteen new members on board and exght 1d not return We were happy to take seats mn the last sectxon of the Grade Tram We were not far from our destmatzon now We transferred to a dzfferent lme for the rest of our Journey Thxs was the Hlgh School Hmawatha We kept the sarne engmeer Mr I N Sezbert Vera Wood Dean Wood, Alan Bryan and D1ck Rasmussen Jomed us as freshmen wh1le Vxolet Mayhugh Edward Baeur Ivyl Peckumn and Cleta Marchant left us Mmss Grey was the conductor Durmg the summer our engmeer, Mr Sexbert was promoted to Chlef edu cat1on engineer of Guthrxe county Mr C C Fowler was elected to serve our engmeer for the remamder of our Journeys On the sophomore coach, Mrs Kennedy was conductor For the .Tumor r1de, Helen Johnson and Wmona McCollu.m Joxned us Juamta Bower, who had started wmth us and dropped out at stop two returned to make twenty seven passengers, conducted by Mxss Tolsdorf Four of our members dui I I o 9 o - . t I I I I I I I I I I ' I I , . . . . . . . . , . , . , .
