The only hright spots in the running events were Bruce Waldo in the 880 and John Cummings in the mile. Coach Romanskfs men were sparked in the field events hy Bill Bodmer, Gene Dyson, and Perry Bendix-kson, in the shot putg Dave Davies and Joe Novesky in the diseusg John Kier and John Socozzo in the broad jump and high jumpg and Bruce Xvaldo and Earl Bailey in the pole vault.
