X L X 1,4 . jk We waved ahout with the carefree un- attachment of leaves lrending low their hranches to gaze upon the surrounding land- scape. We received our sustenance from the roots and trunk, hut yet we independently were ahle to hrcathe the clean air ahout us. .-llthough we were free to ohserve every day life. we were still attached to the hranches. moving when they moved. silent when they were silent. This attachment steadied us: lu-lped us grow hoth physically and mentally. Yet. we were impatient. Every hrceze set us moving ahout, looking for some opportunity to prove ourselves. As we entered the season of the Junior year we hoped to find that opportunity. .T , , v ,meg ,, dp f I fx -si .F JVNIUR A hlossom is heautifnl in itself. lts many petals are a crown to the leaves which cradle it. lts fragrance lends an air of interest to the atmosphere. Blossoms are composed of intricately different petals. Some are luag- nificently colored while others are drah and seemingly insignificant. Some are large and strong. They. at first glanee. seem to he the only evidence of strength in the whole hlos- som. Others are frail. unnoteworthy. seem- ingly unimportant to the whole structure. Here nature and life has proven that nothing can he taken at face value. Were it not for the frail. drah petals. that. which is so lreau- tiful in the hlossom. would not he known. Although frail. the drah lvlossoms provided a hackhone for the stronger ones. wc. in the ,lunior class. were much like these very hlossolns. We were growing: ever changing.
