EVER-GREEN The Delta Delta. Phi Delta Sigma. and Psi Lamhda Phi add the fraternal touch to Bay Shore lligh School. These organizations open their long list of activities with the initiating of new mem- hers in the fall. The heauty of the formal initiations is something long rememhered hy hoth new and old memhers. The annual tri- Delta picnic in June offers the memhers of these groups an opportunity to get together for a last flingi' heforc the closing of school. llr. Bet-d's seasiek swordfish sailors will long he rememhered. and who really dial win that hasehall game? Un the serious sltlt' the Delta Deltas and Phi Deltas prompted hy the good neighhor spirit. have presented for many years food haskets to needy families at Thanksgiving and Christmas. The treasuries ol' these eluhs were increased hy various money-making ventures. The Phi lleltas enjoyed Howdy Nlr. lee. thanks to profits from their Deeemher cake sale. The D. D.-s put their efforts into a Deeemher Stag Dance and a haskethall game with the fra- ternity. The fraternity used their powers of super-salesmanship hy selling foothall pro- grams and peanuts and checking coats at all home haskethall games. ln the sportier vein. the frat and the seniors jointly pre- sented the annual frat-faculty game with the faculty as the victors. Following a yearly Custom the Delta Deltas and Phi Deltas held a duo-delta meeting with the D. llfs as this year's hostesses. Another party. with dates. was held in the early spring. ,M their annual fall clanee the fraternity initiated tht- crowning of a foothall queen. 'l'heir spring formal was held the second week in llay. The main purpose. however. of these or- ganizations is to learn to play together and to work together.
