,751-. - gg vi.. From the minute one steps on campus, it is apparent that the College's administration is in the hands of a thoughtful, gentle, dedicated scholar and a friend to all students. In-coming Iuniors meet the President at the first all-College convocation and are soon introduced to the First Lady at the President's Tea for new students. From these first meetings emerge two years of close relationships with the First Family who have a high degree of visibility at Bay Path. The Elliotts' keen interest in every facet of the students' social experience may be seen in their cheering team support on Campus Day, their skillful participation in Faculty-Student tennis tournaments, their gracious entertainment of student groups in their home, and their participation in the traditional tree-decorating festivities at Christmas. Always concerned with the academic welfare of Bay Path students, Dr. Elliott will perform his last official academic function when he awards degrees to the members of the graduating class on May 19, 1979. Born in St. Louis County, Missouri, Dr. Randle Elliott became, in September 1971, the third president of Bay Path junior College. In addition to a Bachelor of Arts degree from Westminster College, he holds an M.A. and Ph.D. from Harvard University. Mrs. Elliott, who before her marriage served as Dean of Women and Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Delaware, holds, in addition to undergraduate degrees from Wilson College and the University of Virginia, a doctorate in Economics from the University of Virginia. With fond remembrances of our two years at Bay Path Iunior College, we the Class of 1979, affectionately dedicate the Portico to President and Mrs. Elliott. J .4 g i
