And they established A continuous dialogue day after day Striving for perfect c'o1nniiinic'ation. Walt Whitman As our two years at Bay Path draw to a close and we prepare to assume a more responsible role in the society that awaits us, We. the members of the Class of 1967, wish to pay a very special tribute to a group of people who have, through their deep understanding. guided our inexperienced hands, patiently borne our many weaknesses. and awakened our minds more fully to the ideas of love and kindness. With these thoughts in mind, We. the graduating class ot' 1967. proudly dedicate our yearbook to you. our parents. with a feeling ot' sincere respect and gratitude for all that you have unseltishly given us. We will always remain mindful ot' the enormous debt that we owe you, and yet which we realize is beyond repayment. Our final wish as we prepare to accept the conflicts and joys ot' the life that awaits us is that you will always be as proud ot' us as we have been, and will continue to be of you. 5 MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT THOMAS G. CARR, President For the past twenty-two years as president, I have been challenged by the task of envisioning and implementing an educational program that will serve young women throughout their adult lives . . . a period that will span a half century, and the world of this next half century will be as different as today is from the early 1900's. There will be techno- logical and industrial changes, social changes, and changes in interna- tional relations. Some changes will offer promising opportunities and some may pose disturbing threats. Some can be predicted and others will come as surprises. How well young adults of today meet the problems of tomorrow will depend upon their skills and attitudes and their resources of mind and character. How well prepared you are in these respects is primarily your responsibility. Bay Path deems it a privilege to have had a part in your preparation. It is my sincere hope that each of you will build upon the foundation of your college experience and enjoy the fuliillment of a fruitful life. THOMAS G. CARR President 6 ALICE E. The end is here, ' 4 But in the evening of our youth We look beyond, into the dawn of life awaiting usg i For wondrous paradox-the end means but a new commencement So we go knowing we are gift bearers to the world. And what we know of sacrifice, and selfless love Will put the meaning in our gifts . . . Evening brings a tide of peace and ripples of remembrance And at the twilight of these years we feel a flood of evening-peace That marks the end of our days togetherg And we know the joy-mingled pain of remembrance in separation. These pages are our dusk-song, singing for us the days That brought us to this evening. - l965 Lrmllmrn Nuzurelll Academy Rochester, New York ' .9 nf' M 'a 5 1 GNLPQ su 1052, n I ' Q ,H .?K 'iv 3 w 511: .'v sv n J.
