1975 Yellowjacket Presented By The Bay High School Annual Staff Bay, Arkansas Sponsored By A Friend Table Of Contents Dedication Junior High Administration Annual Queen High School Faculty Campus Queen Senior Travels Seniors Top Ten Who's Who Juniors Sophomores Freshmen Homecoming Royalty Sports Organizations Elementary Faculty Grade School Senior Directory Advertising Dedication For fifteen years this man has been dedicated I to the life of BHS. There is no stop to his con- tinuous work on the grounds of BHS. Because of his work, the school stays as clean as possi- ble. He always meets you with a smile and a “Good Morning”. To this man we dedicate the 1974-1975 Yellowjacket, Mr. Albert Bax- ter McGough. A Mr. Albert Baxter McGough 5 Confusion Of A New Year School opened once again this year with the usual excitement and .onfusion. New students learned to manage their ways through the crowded halls and to get a seat in the lunch room. There was excite- ment over the new gym and being the first to have P.E. in it. It was just a matter of time until everyone settled down and got into a regular routine. 6 'N ASIUM tS «MAMM 7 We May Never Pass 8 BHS Administration Mr. Jim Parrish, superintendent, managed the school's problems with great ability. Mr. Arthur Cooper, high school principal, kept students and faculty in togetherness throughout the year. The administration is always ready to work with students, parents, and faculty for the betterment of the school, assisting all with good service and advice. Mr. John Wiles, grade school principal, handled the elemen- tary with very few problems. Mr. Cooper. Mr Parrish, and Mr Wiles all cooperated in the running of Bay Schools. Mrs Pearl O'Daniel. Mrs. Lossie Hancock. 15 Senior Millington, the U.S. Naval Air Station, was the scene of one of the most exciting trips made by the Senior class this year. The trip had many highlights, several of them being the explana- tion of the radar system and the demonstation of radio electronics and the rescue of an ar- tificial pilot from a burning plane. Davis smiles through the day. These seniors really enjoy their lunch hour. The young men of the class stick-together through their routine days at school. Butch and Mike have time to get their assignments. Seniors look for Bay on the Seniors always take advantage of their free time and study anything that's available. You can find seniors studying most of the time. Kenny and William laugh it up during lunch. A rare time Sharon isn't cutting up. The preparations for the play were long and tiring, but it was all worth it in the end. The whole play cast smiles after putting on a good performance for the high school. Sharon Davis introduces the characters and starts the play in action. 28 In this scene Betty is trying to keep Liza and Suazanne from bothering Mr. Fowler. Kewpie displays her witch’s costume to Hortense. Mr. Stone catches Mr. Fowler down on his knees” reading to Arbutis Meadows. Puddenhead Pye hides behind Coach Lang trying to keep from being drafted into a play by Miss Meadows. This scene added a little spice” to the play. Arbutis and Edward realize how much they care for each other here in the last scene. Betty tells Dolores that using her father’s posi- tion to snare Edward Fowler is wrong. The girls try-out for parts in “Savage Moonbeams” a play being directed by Arbutis Meadows. Betty gives the news to Hortense about Savage Moonbeams being a success.
