’70 ij e Io titia T resentecf 6y Ae j3ay J%ff School Annua Staff In the long history of the world, only a few genera- tions have been granted the role of defending freedom in its hour of maximum danger. I do not shrink from this responsibility - 1 welcome it. I do not be- lieve that any of us would exchange places with any other people or any other generation. The energy, the faith, the devotion which we bring to this cn- d cavor will light our country and all who serve it - and the glow from that fire can truly light tlic world. President John 1'. Kennedy G on ten is Ofcfministration Stucfents l0)£o’s WAo fftififetics fj femen tary Organizations ffacuftg Senior CTlcfieuements CAcfuertisements I As time comes and goes, we pause to give honor to a person who has become an active part of Bay High School. Most everyone has grown to respect him for his ability to teach and help the students. He has become an active part of the faculty and is admired by most of them. We, the annual staff, proudly dedicate the 1970 YELLOWJ ACKET to: Mr. Bob Stotts Everyone loves freedom, but it takes much more than protesting the efforts of others to achieve it. If we expect freedom for ourselves, we must grant the same to our neighbors. We cannot achieve a satisfactory freedom for our- selves without knowledge, and that knowledge must be worked for. John Wiles To the Seniors of 1969-1970 You have chosen a theme of Freedom. I hope that you are thinking of freedom FOR: Freedom for an equal opportunity for everyone; freedom for ac- cepting the responsibilities of society, civic, and moral issues; freedom for an opportunity to help your fellowman; and freedom for the opportunity to keep in pace with the ever-changing world that you are going to live in. I sincerely hope that you are not looking at free- dom FROM. Freedom does not mean an escape from your opportunities and privileges to help build a bet- ter community. However, this choice is yours to make. I believe that the school has prepared you to accept freedom for and not from. Bay High School has been privileged to have you. We know that your pursuits in life do not end here, so we encourage you to open the doors to the many opportunities available to you. Though you are leaving, Bay High School will always have an inter- est i n you. Arthur Cooper Sincerely, Wayne Dent, Supt. SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS: (SEATED) Johnny Spurlock, Danny Cochran, Donnie Wise.
