'6$ Yellowjacket Presented by the Bay High Annua! Staff I I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the repbulic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a rime to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. Although his face is a fairly new one around school, he is well liked by all the students. Most everyone has grown to respect him for his ability to teach and help students develop their physical bodies. He has become an avid fan of our athletic teams, and because of this interest and success, he received the promotion to assistant coach. We, the annual staff, dedicate the 1968 YELLOWJACKET to: Mr. Sidney McHaffey 4 All right, boys! Records must be kept. Just like a mother hen Strong man Foreword Seasons are the keys to time—times in which we live, whether working or playing. Our graduation from high school concludes an important season, a season that holds many fond memories and friendships which we will cherish as we enter another stage of life. The good advice and guidance of each faculty member will benefit us in becoming worthwhile, re- sponsible individuals. This training has supplemented the main founda- tion, laid by our parents, but we must build upon it throughout our entire lives. There is a time for every purpose under heaven; so it is that now is the time to present to you the-- MARY LAMBERSON Editor 1968 YELLOWJACKET MRS. RUTHMEDLOCK Advisor ADMINISTRATION TO THE STUDENT BODY: We trust the Bay School has given you the best training possible to prepare you for the next phase of life. May your continued undertaking contribute to a fuller and better life for you and your fellowman. Now that you are about to graduate, we give you our best wishes. TO THE GRADUATING CLASS OF 1968: The year 1968 is a memorable one for you. It repre- sents twelve years of basic preparation. Your future will depend, to a large extent, on how well you have adapted yourself to changes during the past twelve years. We live in a dynamic world. You will need to accept an ever changing environment. Your prepara- tion, up to this point, is not enough to meet these changes. You must resolve to continue to search for and adopt those experiences that will keep you on top of a fast-moving society. Your future success will de- pend on how eager you are to face the responsibilities of a changing world. TO THE SIXTH GRADE CLASS OF 1968: You are completing six years of your basic education. This is just a beginning. The world is becoming more demanding of its citizenry with each generation. To become successful at anything requires an all-out never ending effort. Set a goal for yourself that is honorable and morally right and remember that what you will be tomorrow you are becoming today. 7 A iime fo be born . . . •“V - RICHARD BARKER v 0 « V - i F.F.A. 1-2-3-4 F. To be selected is a privilege as well as a challenge. Each student learns the principles of newspaper writing, under the guidance of Mrs. Medlock. A feeling of accomplishment and a sigh of relief is felt as each page of the paper is run off.
