MR. VAN D. FOWLER B.S.E. The Social Science Department gives the student a knowledge of past happen- ings, therefore helping him to move for- ward in our world of today. It teaches the importance of being a good citizen. Mr. Taylor teaches World History, Govern- ment, and Citizenship. Mr. Fowler teaches American History, State Government, and Civics. Mrs. Holmes teaches Junior High History and Citizenship. MR. J. P. TAYLOR B.S.E. MRS. JENNIE HOLMES B.S.E. Mrs. Montgomery, head of the Music Department, finds her time well filled, teaching piano, sponsoring the Glee Club and helping Mrs. Gatewood with the FBLA’ers. Our English instructors have endeavored through the years to give us a better un- derstanding and usage of the living lan- guage we speak. Not only have they taught English grammar, but they have given an intro- duction to the outstanding literature of the many nations. Mrs. Carlson has not only taught gram- mar and literature, but has given a better understanding of other nations and their people. Mrs. Dent has taught journalism, and is sponsor of our yearbook. Mr. Kittermen is the Counselor and is in charge of our batteries of tests. Mr. Crews is the Junior High School English instructor. MRS. ROSEMONA CARLSON B.S.E.

E. does not offer recreation alone, but provides the knowledge which makes for physical fitness, which the late President stressed so vigorously. 0 JUNE DOTY B. S. E. The Business Department of Bay High School offers Typing I and II, Shorthand I, and Bookkeeping I to more than 125 students. Improving your person- ality and learning to smile is stressed as well as skills in business subjects through the F. B. L. A. Mrs. Gatewood organized it five years ago and continues to sponsor it.
