Strongsville recovered the ball in its end zone, but Bay had the win- ning 2 points. The Rockets played a good defensive game but were trou- bled by fumbles on offense. BAY TOPS RIVER Coming back after their 2-O victory over Strongsville, the Rockets defeated River, l2-O. Jim Redinger went over from the 6-yard line for the first score. Jacobson set up the second touchdown with an exciting 40-yard run to the four where Feeley took it over. BAY DEFEATS FAIRVIEW On their first away game the Rock- ets defeated last year's Southwestern champions by a score of 20-13. Bay scored first in the game, but at half- time Fairview was in the lead, l3-7. Jacobson scored in the third quarter to tie the game. With less than a min- ute left to play Jacobson took a pass from l-linz and went over for a touch- down and another Rocket victory, BAY TROMPS OBERLIN The Rockets sent the visiting team home with a 25-O defeat. Just before the half ended Dudley scored on a pass from Hinz. Early in the third period Dud- ley scored again after a 64-yard run, Terrific defensive play was the only thing that saved the Rockets as Me- dina threatened many times in the final quarter on Bay fumbles. BAY CONQUERS WESTLAKE The Rockets traveled to Westlake and ruined their homecoming by hand- ing the Demons a l4-O defeat. Red- inger scored the first touchdown on a center plunge to climax a 43-yard drive. Feeley scored the other touch- down on a 22-yard pass from Reding- er. As a result of this game the fol- lowing were nominated for the Spang Trophy: Jim Redinger, offense, and Paul Patterson, defense.
