Superintendent Another successful year has passed with Mr. Charles M. Patterson as our superin- tendent. He is a graduate of James Milli- ken University, and he obtained his M.A. at Ohio State University. Mr. Patterson is now working on his Ph.D. at Western Reserve University. Keeping the school in smooth operating condition is among the least appreciated of tasks; it demands endless service, sacrifice, and the patience of a veritable Job. There are no rewards or plaudits; it is a matter of integrity, technical ability, and know-how, yielding only the satisfaction of a job well done. So it is that the class of 1953 takes immeasurable pride in dedicating its annual to Ray Klein, under whose capable hands the maintenance of Bay High School has rested these many years. Principal Our second year with Mr. Harry Salis- bury has been a very progressive one. He was graduated from Wilmington Grllege where he received his B.A. Upon receiv- ing a scholarship, he continued college work at Haverford College in Pennsyl- vania where he earned his M.S. Mr. Salisbury is working on his Ph.D. at Western Reserve University. Assistant Principal Working in co-operation with Mr. Salisbury is Mr. Gerhard Deutschlander, the assistant principal. He received his B.A. and M.A. degrees at Western Reserve University. What with acting as assistant principal, teacher, and an advisor of several clubs, Mr. Deutschlander is busy every minute of the day and night.
