Page Six Were boing To Forget We’re going to forget many of the things that made our high school days worthwhile; we'll lose some of the enthusiasm and eagerness we now have; even a few of our cherished memories will be lost with the passage of time. Realizing this, it is the job of your PELICAN to keep these memories alive. its purpose is to record the year’s activities in such a way that the turn of each page will lead us back over,the old paths, cause us to relive experiences, renew old friendships, and in some small way recapture moments that are gone. Progress and growth come as old landmarks and familiar corridors become unrecognizable. These, as do old friendships, recede to the realm of memory. Again, with this realization before us, we spotlight memorable events, personalities, ideas, attitudes, and ideals, characteristic of the educational structure of the Bay County High School as we know it. Now as we face the possible division of our stu- dent body, made necessary by its phenomenal growth during the past three decades, the complete dissolv- ing of the Panama Grammar School, our original Bay High, we can say, “Let tomorrow come! Let Bay High School, tnrough the years, progress: and expand be- yond our recognition.” All of us will glory in it. And now with the turn of these pages we catch a fleeting glance of the Bay High we cherish!
