opotlight Un You As You Socialize Bay High students are very fortunate to have such a great variety of social activities in which to paritcipate. Each fall students anxiously await the exciting Home- coming activities. Each club selects a homecoming queen candidate and from these candidates, the queen is elected by the student body. The five finalists for home- coming queen are presented to the student body at | the Big Blow on the night before the big game. Each candidate is presented at the homecoming parade on Friday night. This year, the lovely Miss Pam Byrd reigned over the homecoming festivities. Another long-awaited event is the annual Senior Ball which is held in December. Each year, the Tornado Whirl sponsors a contest to select Miss Tornado Whirl. Each class selects four sweethearts and Miss Tornado Whirl is selected from these. This year, at the Senior Ball, Joan Brock, editor of the Tornado Whirl, crowned the charming Miss Judy Patton, Miss Tornado Whirl. In early Spring, the Junior Class honors the Senior Class by giving them a lovely formal. The Junior- Senior Prom is always one of the highlights of the year’s activities.
