F. HL A. The Bay County High School Chapter of the Future Homemakers of America was organized in 1944 for girls interested in homemaking. It is designed to en- courage its members to participate in home, school, community, and national activities. F.H.A. takes part in many activities such as: entering all homecoming festivities; dressing dolls for Salvation Army Christmas baskets, sponsoring a Family Fish-Fry, Daddy-Date Night, and taking an active part in the Teens Against Polio Drive. Members benefit from the interesting programs pre- sented at the monthly meetings. They also participate in many activities to earn degrees of achievement which are awarded at a special formal ceremony each spring. As future homemakers state in their creed: “We face the future with warm courage, and high hope.” Sergeant Bachelor adds his dollar to the ‘Mile of Dollars.’’ Jessica DeGroat installs Gine Allen as a new member of F. H. A. F.H.A. members prepare for their annual ‘’ Daddy Date Nite.”
