Under the sponsorship of Miss Lillie Hord and Miss Kathleen Pilcher the club membership is composed of all students in school who have studied Latin or are studying it at the present. Many interesting programs are presented throughout the year which aid in promoting interest, both in the study of Latin and in the cultural background of the language. This year Latin Club has one of the largest enroll- ments ever in its history. Approximately 250 members participate in their activities. Each year representatives of Bay High’s Latin Club are selected to attend the State Forum, which was held in Orlando this year. Another annual event in which Latin Club takes part, is the Tri-Language Party, held in the Spring, for stu- dents enrolled in any foreign language class.
