Lluh Livic | || | | | The Civic Club.is Bay High’s chief service organiza- tion. It is composed of elected representatives from each homeroom, and selected interested persons. Miss Sarah Jay is.the sponsor. The main objective of the club is to encourage citizenship and service in the school and community. The Civic Club has really ranked high this year in competitive activities. Because of the great enthusiasm | The officers observe the results of the Christmas Basket Drive. and participation of the members, the club won Ist place in the Teens Against Polio Drive and also won Ist prize for their float in the Christmas Parade. Other activities sponsored by the Civic Club were Parents’ Night and the gathering and distribution of Christmas baskets for needy families. Bay High is certainly proud of this excellent service organization. Ken Strickler receives cash award from Jaycee members, Mr. Bloom and Mr. Conrad, for the Club’s prize-winning float in the Christmas parade.

Under the leadership of Mrs. Blackwell, the club strives to bring about better understanding of our Latin American friends. Throughout the year, the club presents programs built around topics of interest to the Spanish students. The | Spanish supper and the Tri-Language party were among | the activities in which the club participated.
