MRS. MARGARET FIELDS “ ... And departing leave behind us, Footprints on the sands of time.” Mrs. Fields has retired after having taught for twenty- one years at Bay High. She leaves behind a record of accomplishment, of which she can be truly proud. To point out a few for the record—She organized the first F.H.A. chapter in the state of Florida; served on a committee to form the constitution for the National F.H.A. organization; served as advisor to the local chapter since its beginning; was awarded state honor- ary degree by the Florida F.H.A.; directed beautifica- tion campaigns around the school campus; arranged for the senior parking lots to be paved; and many, many other things. Perhaps the thing that will linger longest in the hearts of the Bay graduates, is the fact that Mrs. Fields served as Senior Class sponsor for fourteen years— arranging those exciting senior affairs—measuring us for caps and gowns .. . ordering our invitations . and throughout all these years of busy activity, she found time to teach her beloved subject, HOMEMAK- ING.
