C Mrs. Inezjones and the radio-announcer at WPCF give helpful ad- vice to Donnie Jackson, Student Director of Radio, and Bill Hutch- ison, Assistant Director of Radio. RADIO Radio, which came to Bay High in 1951, has made considerable progress. It began, with all the other publications, THE TORNADO WHIRL, THE WHIRLWIND, and THE PELICAN in one room. Radio-Television was added in 1955. The students of the radio-television journ- alism class, under the direction of Mrs. Inez Jones, have a five minute world news and a five minute Bay High news program every school day. These programs are presented at 2:55 and 4:55 P.M. over radio station WPCF. The Bay High news is taped. Daily the students use the Associated Press teletype material for the world news. The reporter edits and tacks up enough news for a program. On December 1, the students were in charge of WPCF. They did everything from selling advertising to pre- senting the programs. 1 , i ' , gpg! couNT,,'w ' HIGH scnootgi 5.1 X i, I li. ww-5 -.
