' almaysu - if Construction work on Bay High's new cafeteria was well under way in December. DECEMBER December ..... One of the biggest events of the year came early in December. Many students.left their classrooms to work in various businesses around the city on Bay High Day. The money from this work is used to help publish the Annual. The Civic Club sponsored their annual Christmas baskets. The shop boys made toys for needy children. After weeks of planning and working, the Ball, the big dance of the year, was a grand success. Couples danced to the strains of Blue Christmas, among sil- ver and blue decorations. A good floor show was presented, during which Nina Raike was crowned Miss Tornado Whirl. 'fri ' Bay High students going to a Pep Rally on Friday afternoon before a big game. Thanksgiving Holidays brought a welcomed and long-awaited vacation to everyone at Bay High. A large crowd came back to the gym, however, to have a grand time at the Turkey Hop. Everyone plunged with new vigor and vi- tality back into the old grind. l Fred Williams, Charles Roberts, Don Welch, and Wayne Watkins put the finishing touches on toys for needy children for Christmas. This was one of the many projects carried on by the boys in shop during this year. Mr. Oliver and Mr. Harmon discuss the excellent attend- ance at the football games. The reserve seat section was practically always filled. Six of our nine games were played at Tommy Oliver Stadium. U XM' J sv, 1 Bay High Day workers listen attentively to in- structions. The following day they were employed by local merchants to raise money for the publication of our Pelican.
