Bay High - 7 Woodlawn - 40 The Bay High Tornadoes fell before Alabama's number one team, Wood- lawn, to end the 1955 Homecoming Friday, October 21. Woodlawn began scoring early in the first quarter on their way to a 33-point win. The Tornadoes scored late in the fourth quarter with a four-yard drive after a 13-yard pass. Bay High - I4 Vigor - 18 A thrill-packed crowd watched the Bay High Tornadoes fight back in the last quarter of October I4's game in Tommy Oliver Memorial Stadium to almost up' set the Vigor Wolves. The Big Red cut Vigor 's lead, which they made early in the game, to four points in the last quarter before time ran out on our fighting team. Bay High - 7 Cedartown - I3 Cedartown, with a slight edge, fulfilled the prophets' predictions by squeezing by the Tornadoes I3'7 in a somewhat wet game Friday night, October 28, at Tom- my Oliver Memorial Stadium. The teams sloshed through water and mud for a close game. Many fans turned out even though it rained steadily through out the game.

Bay High - 20 Live Oak - 6 Bay High rolls over Live Oak in stun- ning 20-6 fashion on September I6. A hard running backfield, a hard hit- ting line, and a well-coached all around Big Red football team smoth- ered the favored Live Oak squad in the Tommy Oliver Memorial Stadium. Bay High - 6 Pensacola - 26 The Bay High Tornadoes were de- feated by the Pensacola Tigers in Pensacola by a score of 26-6 Friday night, October 7. A cold crisp night saw much action on the Pensacola field as the Tigers chalked up another victory at the expense of the Tornadoes. Bay High - 20 Selma - 33 The Bay High Tornadoes lost a free-scoring game to the Selma Tigers of Alabama on the opponent's field Friday night, September 30- Most Bay High fans heard this game on the radio. The fast-moving plays and frequent scoring made this a very exciting game.

Bay High - zo Tuscaloosa - 20 The Tuscaloosa Black Bears fought the Bay High Tornadoes to a zo-zotie in Tommy Oliver Memorial Stadium Fri- day night, November II. This hard fought game brought many thrills to the fans. At one time in the third quarter the Big Red led the Black Bears by a score of 20-6. Bay High - 7 Dothan - 6 An entirely different line-up was used to defeat the Dothan Tigers Friday night at Wire Grass Memorial Stadium in Dothan, Alabama. A surprising aerial attack put Bay High in the lead early in the First half and brilliant defensive play during the remainder of the game allowed them to hold their lead. Bay High - 6 Leon - o The Bay High Tornadoes won their final game of the season Friday night, November 18, in Tommy Oliver Me- morial Stadium. Bay High scored in the first four mi- nutes of the second quarter with a four yard drive after a long march down the field. The Tornadoes kept their lead to beat one of their top rivals, Leon High of Tallahassee.
