The purpose of the International Re- lations Club is to introduce to the stu- dents interesting people in our communi ty who have been abroad, visited other countries, or who are natives of foreign lands. These guest speakers share with the members of the IRC their knowledge of interesting sights, situations, and cul- tures, of which they have been a partg knowledge that is not obtainable from reading books. Through becoming acquainted with these speakers, each IRC member had a deeper understanding and appreciation of international relations. Joel Murphy . Julianne Daffin . . Mr. Bill Weeks . . G.A.A. The G. A. A. was organized by Miss O'Grady in 1950. As the name implies, this is an organization for girls who would like to get more competition and athletic activity than they get in physi- cal education. Every year the club has tournaments in volley ball, basketball, softball and various other sports in which girls en- gage. Each year new officers are elected. The president is a senior, the vice- president, a junior, and the secretary and treasurer may come from any of the three classes. Among other acti- vities, the G. A. A. sells refreshments at all home basketball games. .-fl.-. Shirley Sanders. . . . Historian Mrs. Lyons . Sponsor Midge Presnell Treasurer Mary Johnston President Joyce Teagle Secretary Miss Wise .
