TOIt A00 Publications' entry in the Homecoming Parade, Queen Canididate, Barbara Pelham. Glenda, Barbara, Patty, Billy, and Dougie work out current problems of the newspaper. Keith and Buddy offer news material to Elaine and Nina, Columnists, while Bobby works independently. The Tornado Whirl is a four-page, eight-column newspaper. It is com posed and edited by a staff of nine- teen Bay High Students, and printed at the Panama City News-Herald. This standard size student publica- tion, which is purchased by sub- scription, appears bi-weekly offer- ing the utmost in campus activities, sports, fashions, and other news- worthy events. The staff consists of an editor, Pearl McLemore, a business mana- ger, Secora Collins, an associate editor, news editor, associate news editor, sports' editor, feature edi- tor, associate feature editor, two photographers, five staff writers, two columnists, an art editor, assistant business manager, two business staff assistants, and an exchange editor. Mr. Harry Cope- land is advisor. The Whirl won first place in the National Scholastic Press Asso- ciation. It has been declared one of the top newspapers in its field in the state. K 'ark-.
