JANUARY V January ..... A brand new year . . . . . For several days Bay High's halls rang with greetings of Happy New Year. Students began studying for land worrying about, exams which were given January 25-26. The completion of one semester of work and fun was celebrated with a Half- Way Hop at the Civic Center. Basketball season was in full swing with games every week. Bay High Tornadoes play a thrilling game with the Port St. Joe Sharks. Oh, why didn't I study before now? l Fred Williams, Charles Roberts, Don Welch, and Wayne Watkins put the finishing touches on toys for needy children for Christmas. This was one of the many projects carried on by the boys in shop during this year. Mr. Oliver and Mr. Harmon discuss the excellent attend- ance at the football games. The reserve seat section was practically always filled. Six of our nine games were played at Tommy Oliver Stadium. U XM' J sv, 1 Bay High Day workers listen attentively to in- structions. The following day they were employed by local merchants to raise money for the publication of our Pelican.

Report cards came out Feb- ruary 1 and we learned how much work we had for had notj done in the first semester. The Winter Carnival was held at the Civic Center.
