The graduating class of 1953 has wonderful memories of four glorious and never-to-be-forgotten years. Uponentering Bay High, we realized what a great step this was and of course we tried to do our best. As we walk down memory lane, let us recall some of the outstanding events in our high school life. We entered Bay High as a group of bewildered and frustrated freshmen in 1949. Immediately our class took a vivid interest in the affairs and activities of the school. To start off right, we elected David Raulerson as president of our class, Richard Muterspaugh as vice-president, and Mary Dell Vance as secretary-treasurer. We really worked hard on the concessions at the football games so that we could give the ''best prom ever'! and that is exactly what we did! Our theme was ''Under the Sea, Our junior play was also one of the ''best ever.'' The name of it was, ''The Bride's Stand-In,'' and the cast included: Asa Maynor, Carolyn Daniel, Herbert Grimsley, Peggy Hutchison, Russel Phillips, Laurence Avery, Doris Ann Lee, and Bill Bailey. During our junior year many honors were brought to our school through members of our class. Gretchen Nelson was elected a state officer of the Florida Future Homemakers, Wade Swicord was president of the Northwest Florida Association of Student Councils. Every junior class member had done their part to contribute 26 Ane
