CLARENCE C. SCHULTZ BAY COUNTY NORMAL SCHOOL Bursar vamsce | BAY CITY JUNIOR COLLEGE a PALMER B. KERN Dean of Men and Director of Athletics me ON ee LOIS L. WATERMAN BAY CITY ° MICHIGAN Dean of Women Dear Reader: Hand in hand with the academic side of college life go the extra-curricular activities of the campus. These activities range from the roverning functions of the Student Council to the party-planning functions of the Social Committee, and they are an important part of a college education. These campus organizations educate the student to work with others, to be better able to enter into the social side of everyday living. Many types of extra-curricular activities are available at Bay City Junior College, and there is sure to be one of special interest to each student. if such a club is not available here, the students go ahead and organize one. This year psychology and journalism groups were added to the list of already-organized clubs. The students will long remember the Sadie Hawkins! Day activities. Many clubs contributed to the success of that day; the Weddin! Breakfast by the Women's League, the Dog Patch dinner by the Social Committee, and the dance in the evening by the Bis Ad Club. The cheering from the basketball games and the swimming meets still rings in their memories. They remember swaying to the dreamy strains of the music at the Lettermen's Autumn Serenade, the Social Committee's Crystal Ball, and Tetra Scits Sweetheart Prom. Besides these big events, chess club meetings, bake sales in the halls, camera club photo sessions, and endless all-college get-togethers made this year's campus life at J-C both profitable and enjoyable. Sincerely, The Staff 14
