In the case of Bay City High School, the agent for change over the past five years in our athletic program has been Athletic Direc- tor and Head Coach Ron Mills. Coach Mills has a low-keyed kind of energy . . . you don't hear about him until his successes become evident - and this year they have brought us to our first state playoff in football. ' He and his department have given us many reasons to cheer in all our sports programs. - And, so, it is to Coach Mills that this Energy for the Eighties 1980 Black Cat Annual is dedicated. 2 Congrats, Coach! Literally half of Bay City seemed to be at the Astro- dome to cheer on the Black Cats as they played their very first State Final game. At left, Principal Joe Gra- ham presents the UIL Trophy to Coach Mills at a spe- cial awards assembly honoring all of the school's lop- notch pigskin teams. With ENERGY. And this yearbook is a celebra- tion of that energy, the energy of Bay City High School in the fall of 1979 and the spring of 1980. For this energy, as manifested in the faculty, stu- dents, clubs, and sports programs, is what makes winners out of all of us who have known Bay City High. So, browse and enjoy. And as you remember, maybe a little of the old voltage will tingle through your system once again. Long live ENERGY!
